- For Infrastructure Observability (vuInfra360), a host unit refers to a unique IP address
- For Application Observability (vuApp360) and Transaction Observability (vuTxn360), a host unit refers to a server with 8 vCPUs. For e.g.: If an application has 10 servers with 8 vCPUs, it is accounted for as 10 units. And 10 servers with 16 vCPUs is accounted for as 20 units.
What are the inclusions and exclusions in the pricing?
Inclusions in the annual subscription:
- All required run-time software for the observability stack
- Platform licensing fees
- Post-implementation annual remote support
Exclusions:
- Infrastructure or hardware costs (compute, storage, network), as VuNet’s solution is self-hosted.
Can I switch-on individual products and deploy them over a period of time?
Yes. Each product is loosely coupled and hence, can be deployed independently or integrated seamlessly with other products on the platform as the need may be.
This provides the customers the flexibility to start with a specific use case and expand adoption over time.
How does my pricing change, when I purchase add-on licenses or subscribe to a new product?
Your existing subscription remains unchanged. Any new licenses or products are billed on a pro-rated basis from their start date, aligned to the annual pricing model.
How does pricing handle sudden spikes in data volume?
Pricing is normalized using quarterly averages, so short-term or seasonal spikes in data volume do not result in access restrictions, throttling, or service disruption.
The platform is designed to absorb sudden business-driven spikes—such as peak transaction periods or campaigns. For compliance and billing:
- License usage is baselined on a quarterly average
- Any additional usage beyond the baseline is pro-rated for the remainder of the year and billed accordingly
This approach ensures operational flexibility, cost predictability, and no penalties for short-term growth.
Does pricing differ for cloud, on premises, and hybrid deployments?
The pricing remains the same across cloud, on-premises and hybrid deployments, It will be based on the total units across the host environments.
