vuSiteManager is a dedicated monitoring and management application designed to oversee, manage, and orchestrate vuSmartMaps™. It is automatically installed as part of the vuSmartMaps™ deployment and operates with its own front-end UI and backend datastore.
Based on the scale of the vuSmartMaps™ installation:
- For larger setups, vuSiteManager is deployed on a separate virtual machine to ensure optimal performance.
- For smaller installations, it runs on the same virtual machine as vuSmartMaps™, streamlining resource utilization.
Key Functionalities
Self-Observability:
- Continuously monitors the health and performance of the vuSmartMaps™ installation.
- Notifies administrators of any performance issues, enabling proactive corrective actions.
- Tracks system resources, analyzes error logs, and captures performance metrics for comprehensive self-diagnostics.
Alerts:
- Provides instant notifications in case of downtime or performance issues affecting VM hosts or Kubernetes components.
- Displays alerts in an intuitive tabular format with detailed descriptions, making it easy for administrators to identify and address issues swiftly.
