The Platform Utilities in vuSmartMaps™ provide essential tools and frameworks that enable seamless observability, access control, data modeling, and transaction journey analysis. These utilities enhance the platform’s ability to deliver deep insights and actionable intelligence. These include O11ySources and Journey Workbench.
- O11ySources are packaged solutions for observability of a standard infrastructure component. Users can enable an O11ySource in vuSmartMaps deployment and start monitoring a component.
- Journey Workbench is a set of templates, definitions, meta data and scripts through which new business journeys can be developed and visibility be provided for digital transactions.

O11ySources
O11ySources are standardized, pre-configured observability packages for standard infrastructure components. These enable plug-and play monitoring of various components such as web servers, databases, servers, containers, and network devices. Each O11ySource includes:
- Data Collection Methods: Agents, pollers, and receivers with predefined configurations.
- Golden Signals: Predefined KPIs for performance monitoring.
- Pipeline Configurations: Transformation logic for collected data.
- Storage & Visualization: Preconfigured HyperScale Data Stores, dashboards, alerts, and reports.
- Getting Started Guide: Simplifies onboarding and deployment.
The O11ySources can be installed and managed through a dedicated GUI-based interface. Further for non-standard observability needs, vuSmartMaps™ provides an O11ySource Development Kit (ODK) for creating custom observability solutions with built-in automation tools.
Journey Workbench
A key differentiator of vuSmartMaps™ is its ability to provide business journey observability for digital transactions. The Journey Workbench comprises of a Transaction Configuration Studio and Journey Configuration Studio which contains predefined templates, metadata, and scripts. Through these studios, custom journeys and transactions can be easily customized, visualised and deployed at ease. It involves:
- Analyzing Transaction Logs: Extracting transaction progress and outcomes from application logs.
- Correlating Events: Stitching together individual transactions into a unified journey view.
- Visualizing Business Journeys: Providing storyboards that highlight various metrics: Transaction volumes, Failure rates and root causes, Turnaround time (TAT) at each stage, Drill-down insights into individual touchpoints
