The APM (Application Performance Monitoring) Tool Sales Account Manager is responsible for driving the  sales of APM monitoring tools to existing and potential clients. They play a vital role in identifying  customer needs, promoting the benefits of APM tools, and building strong relationships with clients. 

The Sales Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor, offering expertise and guidance on APM solutions  to help clients optimize their application performance and achieve business goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy and Target Achievement: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive the adoption  and sales of APM monitoring tools. Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals within assigned  accounts.
  • Account Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients. Serve as the  main point of contact for all sales-related inquiries, ensuring high customer satisfaction and  retention.
  • New Business Development: Identify and engage with potential clients to expand the customer base  for APM monitoring tools. Conduct prospecting activities, such as cold calling, email campaigns, and  networking events, to generate leads and opportunities.
  • Product Expertise: Develop an in-depth understanding of the APM monitoring tools offered by the  company. Articulate the features, benefits, and competitive advantages of the products to clients,  demonstrating how they can enhance application performance and drive business outcomes.
  • Needs Assessment and Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough needs assessments with clients to  understand their application monitoring requirements, pain points, and goals. Provide consultative  sales support, offering tailored solutions and recommendations that align with their specific needs.
  • Sales Presentations and Demonstrations: Conduct engaging product presentations an demonstrations  to showcase the capabilities and value of the APM monitoring tools. Customize presentations to  address client concerns and highlight the relevance of the tools to their business.
  • Contract Negotiation: Collaborate with clients to negotiate pricing, contract terms, and service-level  agreements. Ensure that contracts are executed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and  competitor’s; offerings in the APM monitoring space. Use this knowledge to position the company’s  products effectively and identify market opportunities.
  • Sales Reporting and Forecasting: Track sales activities, pipeline, and revenue forecasts using CRM  tools. Generate regular sales reports and provide updates to management on sales performance,  account activities, and potential risks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales engineers, product managers,  and customer support, to provide seamless customer experiences and resolve any technical or  service-related issues.
  • Continuous Learning and Professional Development: Stay informed about advancements in APM  monitoring tools, industry standards, and best practices. Participate in training programs and industry  events to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably in the technology or software industry, with a focus on  selling APM monitoring tools or related solutions.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. Strong technical acumen and the ability to understand complex software solutions and explain them  to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and influence buying  decisions.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and provide  tailored solutions.
  • Familiarity with APM concepts, such as application performance metrics, log analysis, error tracking,  and performance optimization.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales productivity tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data, identify trends, and adjust sales strategies  accordingly.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership.

 

Educational Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’ s degree in business administration, marketing, computer science, or related field with  minimum 10 years of work experience
