I/O Streams Configuration

Create an I/O Stream

Click on the + button to create an I/O Stream.

On clicking, you will be redirected to the following page.

The following fields will be displayed.

  • Name – Enter the name of the I/O stream.
  • Description – The description of the streams.
  • Partition – Number of partitions for the data stream.
  • Retention Period – The time for which the data stream should hold the data available.
  • Retention Unit – The unit (in Hours/Days) of the retention period.
  • Advanced Settings – The Advanced setting allows you to customize the data stream configurations using a JSON format.

Click on the Save button to add the I/O streams.

Edit I/O Streams

Click on the Edit button to edit any of the added details.

View I/O Streams

Click on the I/O stream name to view the particular I/O stream details.

There are 3 tabs under the ‘View’ option (i.e., I/O Streams Info, Readers, Metrics). You can get the details by clicking on each of them.

Preview I/O Streams

Click on the Preview button to preview the particular I/O stream details.

It shows all the details of the selected stream and offers the following options:

  • Preview Data: The user can preview the data within an I/O stream using the preview data option and the user can select the data points, timeout, and type. With Download Preview Data button, you can download this as a JSON file.
  • Upload & Preview Data: If a user wants to insert any particular data to an I/O stream they can use the Upload & Preview option.

💡Note: Only valid JSON separated by new lines is accepted via a file.

Delete I/O Streams

Select the I/O streams that you want to delete and click on the Delete button. Confirm by clicking on the Delete button. The selected I/O stream will be removed from the list.
